Regardless of what I say below, you should make sure you can do the practice quizzes/tests/exams.  However, being able to do the practice exam does not guarantee a good grade on the test.  The questions on the exams will not be exactly the same as the ones on the practice exams.  You need to be versatile.  You can become versatile by DOING YOUR HW, STUDYING THE TEXT EXAMPLES AND NOTES, and STUDYING EXAMPLES DONE IN CLASS.

PRACTICE EXAMS ARE ONLY SIMILAR TO REGULAR EXAMS AND MEANT ONLY AS STUDY GUIDES.  

THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE A DEVICE THAT RESTRICTS THE INSTRUCTOR IN HER/HIS CHOICE OF CONTENT TO INCLUDE ON AN ACTUAL EXAM.  

Practice Exams Policy:

·         Most questions on the actual exams may be very similar to the ones on the practice exams with only the numbers and wording changed.

·         Some questions on the actual exams may be very similar to homework problems.

·         Some questions on the actual exams may be very similar to example problems worked in class.

·         Some questions on the actual exams may be very similar to other HW problems in the text.  These questions will separate the A's from the B's.

The practice exam is only meant to look something like the actual exam and to be a topic guide.  The actual exam is in no way restricted to the questions on the practice exam.
